Greg Dugan

Greg Dugan joined Orchestra Nova Northwest in 2023, after retiring from a 42-year career with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. In addition to playing with the ONN bass section, he is principal bass of the Newport Symphony, and of the Oregon Coast Music Festival orchestra. Greg was a regular substitute with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and was principal bass of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and the National Symphony of Costa Rica.

Mr. Dugan formerly taught at DePauw University, and the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra of Indianapolis, and presently is one of the instructors for the Portland Youth Philharmonic Bass Workshop. He is a graduate of Indiana University.

Eugene is Greg’s hometown, and he and his wife are happy to be back living in Oregon!
